The Bench (Aug.'07)
by David Hendon
'The Bench' follows two men who meet daily on a park bench. Can Frank sort out James's problems? Darkly comic, the play highlights the obsession with the work ethic in today's business world and its penalties.
I was cast for ‘The Coach’ and ‘The Bench’ just three weeks prior to graduation whilst performing “The Libertine”. A ten day rehearsal period for my roles as “Terry” the coach in ….”The Coach”, and as “Frank” in the two man duologue “The Bench” which we first performed as a one night preview at “the Old Joint Stock” theatre in Birmingham, before taking the plays to Scotland and performing for the whole of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
